Journalist, Editor, Social and Human Rights activist, Businessman Khawaja Masum Billah Kausarey has worked at the leading level in BRAC and BRAC University with 10 years of diverse experience in education, research, and human resources development with integrity, dedication, and efficiency. Khawaja Kausarey, who completed his Masters in Theology from the Islamic University of Kushtia and EPDC from BRAC University was the lead management on behalf of BRAC University in the successfully completed project funded by European Union (EU) "Food Security and Nutritional Project" from 2009 to 2014.

Also has long experience working in leading management with more than 55 national and international research projects at BRAC and BRAC University funded by international donors. He has led and managed various departments of BRAC University, such as the BRAC Institute of Global Health, the James P. Grant School of Public Health, and the Department of Midwifery and Nursing.

He established the "Samaj Kallyan Samiti and Islamic Pathagar" in 1997 while still a high school student in order to preserve the heritage of Nawab Ahsan Ullah's deserving succeeding generations, Khwaja Faizuddin R.H. and Khwaja Nasser Ali R.H., and to disseminate social education and morals among the general populace. in an effort to completely eliminate social discrimination, drugs, criminal activity, and disorganization.

As an honors first-year student of BM College in 1998, he became the founding president of a literary organization called "Saikat Sahitya Seba Parishad" and began producing a quarterly literary magazine named Chiraharit. In 1998 and 1999, he worked as the Executive Editor of the magazine, but he delegated the editorship to his late friend Nasir Uddin because of the chance to get admitted to the Islamic university.
